What happened to Damon

My first contact with Damon was when he
replied to one of my emails.

 

“I need a kick up the arse and you sound
like the perfect person to do just that” or
something along those lines.

 

At our first weigh in he came in at 19st
6lbs.

 

That’s some pretty good going at 5’10”.

 

So where was Damon at before he started his
8 week program at the studio?

 

Miserable.

 

Fed up.

 

No energy.

 

Shit mood all the time.

 

(these are his words, not mine)

 

His diet-

 

Well it’s not often that I meet someone
with a sweeter tooth than me, but this guy
was a chocolate fiend.

 

He even had a sponsored Mars Bars eating
contest at work – in aid of Children in
Need
 would you believe.

 

I don’t think he’ll mind me saying that
there was probably a chicken & egg kind of
situation going on with his food.

 

One you might find quite familiar-

 

“I overdose on chocolate because I’m
miserable

 

I’m miserable because I overdose on
chocolate.”

 

Substitute chocolate for bread, booze,
drugs, crisps as necessary,

 

Where did that cycle start? Who knows?

 

How did it stop?

 

He sent me an email.

 

The rest is history.

 

Other health issues that Damon improved…

 

Sleep, blood pressure, propensity for
diabetes.

 

The stuff we all know about but don’t want
to do anything about till a doctor tells us
we’re up shit creek.

 

Then there’s the stuff we do want to
change as it’s staring us in the face.

 

Where’s he at now??

 

5 belt holes.

 

That’s right, he’s gone down 5 belt holes.

 

Tons more energy and a generally feeling
amazing.

 

He lost 11lbs in the first week

 

‘Pah! Dehydration and glycogen’ – someone
scoffed at me the other day.

 

Well he was drinking 2 litres of water a
day and had carbs every day too so- thanks
for your input.

 

I got an email from Damon a few weeks into
the program when I asked how he was doing.

 

“The training you guys give is second to
none and the other members of the class are
so helpful and motivational.

 

If I’m not doing something right I know
that someone will correct me . . .

 

This has been such a learning curve  . . .
nothing compares to this experience!”

 

Okay, enough with the talking. You want the
big reveal right.

 

So in total, in 8 weeks, Damo lost 3st
8lbs.
